Recipe B | Grilled Tofu Sandwich

Note: Marinate 1 hour

85 ml mirin 1 / 3 cup
60 g of tamari soya sauce (2 oz)
30 ml cold water 1 oz
60 g fresh ginger, grated( 2 oz )
125 ml ½ cup olive oil
Salt and ground pepper (mill)
8 slices firm tofu plain 1 cm
(1 / 2 inch) thick
12 cloves garlic, peeled
300 ml sesame oil 1 ¼ cup
Fresh Mesclun


  • Mix the mirin, tamari sauce, water, crushed ginger, olive oil, salt and pepper for dressing homogeneous.
  • Marinated the tofu slices for about 1 hour.
  • Meanwhile, make comfit of garlic with the sesame oil over low heat for 30 to 35 minutes.
  • Wash the greens and drain.
  • Resume marinated tofu slices and cook 2 sides under the broiler.
  • In a bowl, combine the mesclun, crushed garlic cloves and a little dressing keep some for later (dressing).
  • Build the tofu sandwich, crushed garlic, mixed greens (mesclun) and a drizzle of dressing add the garlic you had put aside
