{"id":1876,"date":"2021-11-18T09:25:27","date_gmt":"2021-11-18T14:25:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/unisoya.wpenginepowered.com\/?p=1876"},"modified":"2021-11-18T09:25:27","modified_gmt":"2021-11-18T14:25:27","slug":"tofu-chana-masala","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/unisoya.com\/en\/recipes\/tofu-chana-masala\/","title":{"rendered":"Tofu Chana Masala"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>By: La Vie dans mon Assiette<br \/>\n<strong>In collaboration with Unisoya<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>What you need: (Yield: 6 cups)<\/p>\n<p>One 454 g package of Unisoya regular tofu<\/p>\n<p>4 cups chickpeas<\/p>\n<p>2 tablespoons canola oil<\/p>\n<p>3 chopped onions<\/p>\n<p>2 garlic cloves, chopped<\/p>\n<p>1 tomato, finely diced<\/p>\n<p>1 tablespoon chopped ginger<\/p>\n<p>1 teaspoon ground coriander<\/p>\n<p>1 teaspoon Garam Masala<\/p>\n<p>1 teaspoon chili<\/p>\n<p>1 teaspoon cumin seeds<\/p>\n<p>1 1\/2 tablespoon ground cumin<\/p>\n<p>2 teaspoons red curry paste<\/p>\n<p>1 cup 15% cream (can be replaced with coconut milk)<\/p>\n<p>\u00bd coconut milk<\/p>\n<p>Salt and pepper<\/p>\n<p>1 tablespoon canola oil<\/p>\n<p>4 ground cardamom pods<\/p>\n<p>1 pinch of cloves<\/p>\n<p>Salt<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In a non-stick skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of canola oil. Add the onions and cook for about 3 minutes over medium heat. Add the garlic, ginger and spices and cook for about 2 minutes. Add the tomatoes and stir for about a minute. Turn off the heat.<\/p>\n<p>Stir in the cream and coconut milk. Stir the mixture to obtain a smooth texture. Then add the chickpeas once the texture is obtained. Set aside.<\/p>\n<p>Cut the tofu into small cubes. Sprinkle the pieces of Tofu with cardamom, cloves and salt and toss well.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Heat 1 tablespoon of canola oil in a non-stick skillet.
