{"id":2361,"date":"2023-01-18T05:05:45","date_gmt":"2023-01-18T10:05:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/unisoya.wpenginepowered.com\/?p=2361"},"modified":"2023-01-03T09:11:17","modified_gmt":"2023-01-03T14:11:17","slug":"capellini-with-tofu-broccoli-cashew-nuts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/unisoya.com\/en\/recipes\/capellini-with-tofu-broccoli-cashew-nuts\/","title":{"rendered":"Capellini with tofu, broccoli &#038; cashew nuts"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p><em>By La Vie dans mon assiette: <\/em><br \/>\n<em>In collaboration with Unisoya<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What you need:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tofu marinade (about 2 servings):<\/p>\n<p>\u00bd package of Unisoya Organic Fine Herb Tofu 454g<\/p>\n<p>2 tablespoons maple syrup<\/p>\n<p>2 tablespoons tamari sauce<\/p>\n<p>1 teaspoon garlic powder<\/p>\n<p>Zested ginger, to taste<\/p>\n<p>A pinch cayenne pepper<\/p>\n<p>Pepper<\/p>\n<p>1 teaspoon canola oil<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>For the pasta:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>capellini pasta<\/p>\n<p>1 \u00bd cup broccoli (preferably the head of the broccoli)<\/p>\n<p>Sesame seeds<\/p>\n<p>About 15 Cashew nuts (mixed whole nuts and others coarsely crushed)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>For the sauce:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1 tablespoon sesame oil<\/p>\n<p>2 large garlic cloves minced<\/p>\n<p>2 tablespoons tamari sauce<\/p>\n<p>1 tablespoon hoisin sauce<\/p>\n<p>1 teaspoon rice vinegar<\/p>\n<p>1 \u00bd teaspoon maple syrup<\/p>\n<p>1 tsp tahini<\/p>\n<p>\u00bd teaspoon Sambal Oelek<\/p>\n<p>Zested ginger, to taste<\/p>\n<p>Salt &amp; pepper to taste<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cut the block of tofu into medium-sized cubes and marinate in a mixture for 2 hours (or up to 24 hours for more taste).<\/p>\n<p>Cook the drained tofu in a non-stick skillet with the oil for about 6-8 minutes or until the pieces are charred, turning them halfway through. Set aside.<\/p>\n<p>On a baking sheet, cook the broccoli for 15 minutes at 400\u00b0F with a dash of olive oil, salt and pepper.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, in a saucepan, bring the salted water to a boil and cook the pasta for about 3 minutes or until al dente. Drain.<\/p>\n<p>In the same pan, on the same burner that is off but still warm, pour the sesame oil and brown the garlic. Add the rest of the ingredients for the sauce.<\/p>\n<p>Incorporate the still hot pasta into the sauce, mix, add sesame seeds and coat well.<\/p>\n<p>Serve on a plate with broccoli and tofu.
