{"id":2537,"date":"2023-07-10T05:00:07","date_gmt":"2023-07-10T09:00:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/unisoya.wpenginepowered.com\/?p=2537"},"modified":"2023-07-06T14:47:11","modified_gmt":"2023-07-06T18:47:11","slug":"classic-tofu-cheeseburger","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/unisoya.com\/en\/recipes\/classic-tofu-cheeseburger\/","title":{"rendered":"Classic Tofu Cheeseburger"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><p>By: La vie dans mon Assiette &#8211; In collaboration with Unisoya<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>What You Need (6 servings)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tofu (makes 6 dumplings):<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A package of Unisoya tofu<\/p>\n<p>2\/3 cup breadcrumbs<\/p>\n<p>2 eggs<\/p>\n<p>1 teaspoon steak spice<\/p>\n<p>1 teaspoon garlic powder<\/p>\n<p>10-15 sprigs chives<\/p>\n<p>1 grated carrot<\/p>\n<p>2 tablespoons maple syrup<\/p>\n<p>1 teaspoon Worcestershire<\/p>\n<p>\u00bd cup shredded mozzarella<\/p>\n<p>Salt<\/p>\n<p>Ground pepper<\/p>\n<p>canola oil<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>6 toasted burger buns<\/p>\n<p>2 tomatoes, sliced<\/p>\n<p>A few lettuce leaves<\/p>\n<p>Sliced cheddar cheese<\/p>\n<p>Pickles<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Crispy Fried Onions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>2 onions<\/p>\n<p>About \u00bd cup milk<\/p>\n<p>About \u00bd cup flour<\/p>\n<p>canola oil<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Peel the onion, cut it in half and thinly slice it. Detach the pieces and put them in the milk.<\/p>\n<p>Heat the oil in a skillet. Flour the onions before putting them into hot oil. Fry them until crispy and<\/p>\n<p>golden in color without overcooking. Drain the onions and place them on a absorbent paper. Salt them.<\/p>\n<p>Crumble the tofu and place it in a large bowl. Add remaining ingredients, except cheese. Once the mixture is almost homogeneous, even sticky, add the shredded cheese.<\/p>\n<p>Shape 6 balls and then flatten them, taking care to respect the size of your buns.<\/p>\n<p>Pour the vegetable oil into a large skillet and heat to a medium temperature.<\/p>\n<p>Add the patties to the grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until they are cooked and golden.
