What you need
Ingredients (4 servings)
1 454 g packet Unisoya tofu
¼ cup Red Hot sauce
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 tablespoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 pinch Cajun spices
1 tablespoon baking powder
Salt
Ground pepper
2 ½ tablespoons cornstarch
Vegetable oil
How to proceed
Preheat oven to 425°F with rack in center position.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Tear the tofu block into elongated pieces resembling the shape of a chicken wing. Mix in a bowl with marinade ingredients. Marinate for 20 minutes on the counter (or 24 hours in the fridge).
Drain the tofu and save the marinade. Place tofu on baking sheet.
Place in the oven for 15 minutes. Remove the tray and re-soak the pieces in the remaining marinade. Continue cooking for a further 10-15 minutes, or until the tofu is nicely toasted.
Serve with ranch or hot sauce.
Enjoy your meal!
